We’re thrilled to share our first restaurant branding project—Good Thanks. After his success with Good Thanks Cafe in LES, owner Will Rees came to us to bring a feel-good, unpretentious vibe to his new spot in East Williamsburg.

As a casual Australian dining spot with top-notch food and drinks, Will aims to create a fine dining experience that feels like dinner at a friend’s place. We had a blast creating a system that celebrates the contrast between the front of house and the back of house, featuring elements such as a masking-tape inspired typeface and menus that resemble receipts.

Perhaps the star of the show is the Good Thanks icon, the thumb’s up—because we’re good, thanks! Whether it be dressed up in a cloche for the restaurant, or providing CPR to a lemon on a choking hazard poster, the thumb can endlessly transform.
